  1. https://www.facebook.com/groups/AEMS.SC/ This is the SC Facebook page. Please send me a request for access on there. We will be trying to get something together soon.
  2. I'm just wondering if there are any other 228i or M235 owners in here. I'm coming back to the Carolina's and bringing my new to me 228i back with me. It gets there the same day in Charleston at the port as I do to the Columbia airport. Steve
  3. So I ended up purchasing the 228. I was just too good of a deal to pass up. I'm shipping it back to the states this week. Was going to be tomorrow but as with almost everything in Germany something went wrong and it's inconvenient. So far I love the car. Get's great mileage, sparkles nicely in the sun, I love the Terra Cotta leather, handles pretty well. I even went to the Hockenheimring to shake her down a bit with a couple of friends. Tons of fun. Here are some pictures and vids. https://youtu.be/AaudZ-JYrRU
  4. Cool. I'm glad there's some interest from the local guys. I'm still debating on exactly what car will be next for me. E46 M is out. Too much maintenance. It's down to 135is or regular or an E90/92 M. The wait is killing me. I can't wait to get back and just go to Carolina Wing in Sand Hills and drink a beer after eating a 25 piece. Ha ha. Here's a link to the club website. There's information on there about us. As soon as I get back there the SC Chapter will commence. Windshield banners, shirts, stickers and events. Check it out and feel free to ask me anything you want. http://www.ae
  5. Welcome to the board. Nice to see another person that will be close by. I'm moving back to Columbia this summer from Germany and will be picking up my own E9x series M3 when I get there. What year did you get? Options? There's a Cars and Coffee in Columbia now. I used to have to drive all the way up to Charlotte to hang out with car peeps. I'm going to start a chapter of the car club I'm a member of here in Germany when I get back there. If you are interested I will send you the information when I get there. Take care and let me know if you want my contact information for when I get back there
  6. Welcome to the boards. I'm going to be moving back to Columbia later this summer and will be in touch with car event information and meets of sorts if you are interested in hanging out or need some help wrenching on that E30 of yours.
  7. So I recently sold my Mustang GT that I've had in Germany for the last 3 years. I'm currently looking for a clean, unmolested E90 or E92 M3. I have found a couple in the Carolinas and was wondering if I posted the locations or listings if you all nice people in here would be able to tell me if you have any info on them. Not too particular on options. It would be mostly a daily driver with some track duty here and there. 6MT preferred but I'm not opposed to the DCT. I would like to stay under 100K for mileage and less than 35K. No E93's as I don't really want another vert. Thanks.
  8. Indeed. I think I'm going to just stick to my guns and get the E9x M3 and enjoy it. When I get back we will have to go get a beer.
  9. I like small cars. I did find a clean 2001 E46M3 Vert for cheap. I don't know if I want to deal with maintaining a 14 year old car which is the struggle that you are going through now with your car.
  10. Thanks. I'm looking closely for a car to replace the Mustang that is getting sold here in the next month. I am searching and keeping tabs on certain cars daily. My wife is getting a little annoyed but whatever. Ha ha. I did take her on a test drive in a 228 6MT/Premium car the other day and she enjoyed it. We will see. I can't wait to move into the next chapter.
  11. I sure will. I'm retiring and I'm trying to find either a nice E90/2 M car or a 135is. There's one at Dick Dyer right now with low miles. The 135 that is.
  12. So I haven't been in here in I don't really know how long. As some of you may remember I was sent to live in Bavaria, Germany for work where I've been enjoying all that it has to offer. I have decided to retire after 21 years of service and will be moving back to Columbia, SC and starting a new job (unknown) and spending my spare time working on cars. Before I left I traded in my C300 C-class 6MT car and bought a 2013 Mustang GT Track Package care with Recaros. Needless to say it's been fun driving American Muscle around Europe. I've done laps at the Nurburgring and Hockenheimring with it and
