Thanks Mike!

Wanna detail it? lol

The paint on this thing is so soft and delicate. If you blow on it, it scratches.

You know I'm here if you need help Drew. ;)  Porsche paint is generally on the soft side, but it sounds like you're seeing something a bit extreme. Has the car been repainted that you know of? If you want, you can always bring it by so we can put the PTG on it like we did for the 135. IIRC, we found a resprayed panel or two on that one as well.

Is it as soft as BMW Jet Black?

Generally speaking, no. Jet Black BMW is one of the softest paints around. Black Porsche paint, at least from the factory, is nowhere near as soft. That's why I'm wondering if it's been resprayed.

Headers really are not worth it until you start doing big builds.  GT30's plus, yeah get some headers, anything less isn't worth the price.  Stock K16 turbos?

Well crap....I picked them up used so its not that bad.

Yes stock K16's

I also have a set of turbo output flanges on the way for a custom cat delete.

She feels like she revs and spools slow so I'm trying to free up the exhaust a bit.

Ok, used not bad......new ones are $$$$$. Not sure what your goal is for the 996, but doing a billet k16 upgrade or 24/18g upgrade is a great start and won't break the bank.  I ran the protomotive K24/18g's with upgraded FPR, straight pipes, boost controller, bmc filter and Forge DV's.  520whp on pump and about 580whp on race (100 octane).  Owned it for 6.5 years without one single problem.  Still great on road course and track with very little lag.

Which boost controller?

You dont need a tune to turn up the boost?

EBC.  Yes you need tune, but you can also manually control what boost you run depending on the gas.
